Observation Days

Hello, bloggers!! We are now in the beginning stage of our field experience, which is observation. We have been observing for the past three days. The first two days I was with Mrs. Mason in the parenting center. It was fun funny watching Mrs. Mason interact with the kids. The third day, I was with Mrs. Williams. It was a different experience from Mrs. Mason. Mainly because the students in Mrs. Williams class are teenagers or freshman instead of two to four years old. But I look forward to the rest of the field experience.

Life

Life comes with its ups and downs, its goods and bads. Life is not there to tear us down but to build us and make us stronger especially the bad times. We learn to stand on our own two feet and make a living with what we got whether our situation is good or bad. So don’t complain when life throws an curveball; knock it out the park and continue to stand through it all. It’s good to know this information can help a group of students in the near future if I decide to become a teacher.

It’s now coming down to semester exams. The stress of studying and passing them is building. Hope I pass them.

Barriers

The world has so many barriers that many people do not know about. Barriers are things that problems or bad habits people are defined by and could be an danger to them and others. We ask to do an mini lesson and a barrier book. Personally I chose depression as my topic for my mini lesson and the death of a love one for my barrier book. I have had personal experiences with both and know that it is tough to deal with and finish out strong.

In Teacher Cadet class, we are discussing self-esteem. Does it start at home or inside? Is it better earned or already being there? We read the article “The Self-Esteem Fraud” by Nina Shokraii. It contain a lot of theories and what people thought of self-esteem.
